A new 65-door facility developed by Old Dominion Freight Line is open for operations in Pasco, Washington, the carrier announced March 3.
“This new state-of-the-art facility adds capacity to our LTL network to support our customers' future growth,” the company said in a Facebook post.
The carrier made a $2.65 million deal for the site about three years ago involving the Port of Pasco. The property with the new facility improvement now totals nearly $7.1 million, according to a county assessment database.
Old Dominion has long been in Pasco, and when it bought the new property, it planned to replace an existing location at the Pasco Processing Center, a 250-acre development site along US-395, according to the port.
That other location sits on 7.3 acres and was acquired in 2011. Neither the port nor Old Dominion immediately responded to a message seeking comment.
