Leadership is filling in vacancy gaps at freight brokerage PGT Services with the first change in its president since the company launched in 2020.
PGT Trucking President Gregg Troian will take on the added role as president of PGT Services, a separate business focused on facilitating specialized freight, a Jan. 20 news release said.
He takes over for Barret Rea, who is stepping aside from daily leadership duties but will remain on the company’s board, Rea said in a LinkedIn post.
Meanwhile, VP of Operations Tracy Trieste has been named EVP and will oversee daily operations of PGT Services.
Trieste has spent time in both businesses, bolstering her ability to lead the company, PGT noted.
“With Tracy’s leadership and expertise, PGT Services is prepared to provide dependable, scalable and expertly executed transportation solutions,” Troian said in the release.
Rea joined PGT's board of directors in 2016, became PGT Trucking’s VP of strategic planning in 2018 and also served as CFO before taking on the leadership role at PGT Services.
PGT Services launched in 2020 as an independent company providing asset-light solutions. Both PGT businesses are tied to PGT Holdings and based in the Pittsburgh area.
Rea noted how PGT Services grew from a team of nine original employees to over 50 today and quadrupled its revenue. “I know PGT Services is poised for continued success,” he said in the message.
