The Truckload Carriers Association elected Canadian trucking executive Mark Seymour its board chairman for 2026-27, the organization announced in a press release.
Seymour, CEO of Ontario-based Kriska Transportation Group, was elected during TCA’s annual convention in Kissimmee, Florida, on March 3.
Jim Ward, who is retiring as TCA president next month, described Seymour as a “forward-thinking leader who understands both the challenges and opportunities facing truckload carriers today.”
“His experience, integrity and passion for our industry make him exceptionally well-suited to serve as chairman during this important time,” Ward said in the March 4 announcement.
TCA’s announcement noted that Seymour brings decades of experience in truckload transportation. His commitment to safety, innovation and advocacy will help guide the organization’s strategic direction and policies to strengthen the truckload sector, per the release.
According to TCA, Seymour’s tenure with Kriska Transportation Group included being a champion for investments to improve safety, technology and driver development for the carrier. As a long-time driver with more than four decades of industry experience, Seymour also brings a driver-focused perspective that will help shape TCA’s priorities in the coming year, the association said.
“I’m not an academic or a politician; I’m a trucker and I’m proud of that,” Seymour said. “TCA doesn’t know borders; it’s about people committed to continuous improvement, education and celebrating success.”
