Amerit Fleet Solutions has acquired Pro Reefer, a Canada-based provider of refrigerated trailer maintenance services, the company announced May 21.
The acquisition allows Amerit to expand into Canada while strengthening its refrigerated fleet services, per the release. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Its latest deal continues a string of acquisitions by the company since announcing a partnership with investment firm New Mountain Capital last January. Amerit acquired Vector Fleet Management in February 2025, then in September announced it purchased Derotic Emergency Equipment.
While not an acquisition, Amerit also has its sights set on international growth with the January launch of operations in London.
CEO Ross Rachey said acquiring Pro Reefer also allows Amerit to provide additional support for its U.S.-based customers while expanding its service capabilities and geographic reach.
Pro Reefer, founded in 1988, provides maintenance, diagnostics and repair services for refrigerated trailers and transport refrigeration units. Its customers operate in food distribution, cold chain logistics and temperature-sensitive freight, per the release.
Thomas Vandermeer, president and founder of Pro Reefer, said combining with Amerit allows it to deliver value to customers and continue to specialize in reefer services.
“We are excited to join Amerit and become part of an organization that shares our commitment to reliability, safety, and service excellence,” he said.
