CCM appointed Kevin Daly chief commercial officer, the company announced July 28.
Daly is the first person to serve in the newly created role, a company spokesperson said in an email to Trucking Dive. His appointment is part of the New Jersey-based intermodal chassis management firm’s strategy to grow its market presence and create opportunities to improve equipment availability to drive supply chain efficiencies, per the release.
CCM, founded in 2005 as Consolidated Chassis Management, said freight flow has become more regionalized as supply chains continue adapting to changing global trade patterns. Daly’s track record of delivering business growth along with his background working with third party logistics providers and in the intermodal segment were traits sought for the leadership role, the company said.
“As the intermodal market continues to evolve, Kevin’s strategic perspective and proven commercial leadership will help strengthen our customer partnerships, expand our market position, and support the next phase of CCM’s growth,” CEO Paul Nazzaro said in the release.
Daly brings more than three decades of experience to the post. He most recently was chief commercial officer for East Coast Warehouse & Distribution in New Jersey, according to his LinkedIn profile.
CCM said there is growing demand for flexible transportation solutions and interoperable chassis pools is creating opportunities to improve equipment availability and supply chain efficiency across ports, rail terminals, and inland distribution centers. The company said it is turning to Daly to capitalize on the trends.
