Page Trucking will acquire Massachusetts-based bulk hauler Goulet Trucking, the carrier announced on Nov. 18.
The combination is a step in creating one the largest specialized bulk transporters in North America, per the release. The merged entities are expected to operate over 500 trucks and 1,500 pieces of equipment when the deal closes in the first quarter of 2026.
Weedsport, New York-based Page Trucking employs 202 drivers, according to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration data. Goulet has 110 drivers, per the carrier’s FMCSA company snapshot.
As part of the merger, the companies will form Page G.T.C., “further aligning two leaders in the specialized bulk transportation space.”
The companies said their combined operations “broadens Page Trucking’s specialty bulk transportation’s strategy with several benefits, including significant operational synergies from equipment utilization and an expanded footprint of capacity with specialized overweight permitted equipment.”
As predicted, carriers are noting how M&A this year is taking root as carriers seek further operational efficiencies. Operational costs in 2024 moderated overall but saw several areas grow beyond the rate of inflation, such as trailer payments and driver benefits costs, the American Transportation Research Institute found.
Dan Titus, president of Page Trucking, in a statement said the merger represents the company’s next step to expand its specialized bulk transportation capacity.
“By combining our nationwide footprint with Goulet’s Northeast-leading hazardous and non hazardous waste transportation capabilities, we are building a stronger, more resilient organization that will benefit customers across the bulk transportation industry,” Titus said.
Page Trucking will maintain its headquarters in Weedsport. Both companies will also retain their personnel but will be managed by a new senior leadership team composed of executives from each business.
Paul Jordan, co-owner of Goulet Trucking, said the merger provides access to additional equipment and driver capacity and extends its reach across North America.
“Together, we are set up for great success going forward — scaling our impact and driving industry evolution,” Jordan said.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
