PGT Trucking has acquired family-owned Debrick Truck Line Co., the Western Pennsylvania-based flatbed carrier announced Dec. 9.
The addition of the Paola, Kansas-based business brings PGT’s terminal network to 35 locations in the U.S. and Mexico with a strategic location in the Midwest.
As of April 2, Debrick Truck Line had 30 power units and drivers, according to a Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration database.
The second-generation family business is tied to the Kansas City area and features flatbed, dry van, step deck and conestoga options as well as other transportation services.
That complements PGT’s mix of transportation services, which also includes dedicated, project cargo, specialized and tanker operations.
Arnold and Lorene Debrick started the business in 1958 to transport water, a company history notes.
The family will continue to stay connected to the business, with Kevin Debrick serving as PGT Trucking’s Paola terminal manager.
“We are a close-knit organization, and it is important for us to work with a partner who understands our emphasis on family, loyalty, and safety,” he said.
