Truckstop.com, an all-in-one freight platform for carriers and brokers to manage load matching, compliance and payments, today announced updates to its Rate Insights Advanced, Shipper Hub, Carrier Hub and TMS products. A broker can find a shipper, check the lane rate and send the quote within the Truckstop network. A carrier can save a load from the Load Board and invoice it from the same login.
Brokers and carriers are both looking for ways to get more from every load. In the H1 2026 Freight Broker survey from Truckstop and Bloomberg Intelligence, 86% of brokers said capacity is harder to find than before, and 43% reported lower gross margins than in the second half of 2025. About 68% of carriers reported lower or flat gross margins in the Q3 2026 Carrier survey. With less room to absorb wasted time, the work around each load has to take less effort.
“When margins are tight, the small stuff adds up: the rate you second-guess, the paperwork you chase, the invoice that goes out late,” said Scott Moscrip, Founder and CEO of Truckstop. “We’re building tools that help brokers spend more time with their customers and drivers spend more time hauling freight instead of doing paperwork.”
Four product updates for brokers and carriers.
- Rate Insights Advanced: Brokers and carriers can negotiate with more context when they can see what is behind a rate. Rate Insights Advanced shows the rate estimate and the context behind it: paid and posted rates side by side, an AI-generated explanation of how the rate is built, and adjustments for the load in front of you. Brokers get the market context to help them price loads with confidence, and Load Board carriers get a clearer view of what the market data shows for a lane before they book it.
- Shipper Hub Advanced: Finding a shipper is the first step – winning the business is the hard part and having strong outreach strategy is where the work slows down. Shipper Hub Advanced builds on Shipper Hub Basic, which launched in September with 1.8 million searchable shipper records. It adds AI-drafted outreach, giving users a starting point to review and edit before sending, plus rate guidance on the lane, Smart Search token rollover and CSV export. It is available as an add-on to an active Load Board subscription.
- Carrier Hub Pro: Carrier Hub Pro adds onboarding to Carrier Hub, helping brokers and shippers find, onboard, check and monitor carriers where they book freight. Customers set their own onboarding and monitoring requirements and implement their own agreements. Customer invited carriers claim a free profile they can reuse with other customers, and brokers can send private load posts to the carriers in their network. Carrier Hub is one input aiding a customer’s own carrier evaluation.
- TMS Basic: Owner-operators and small fleets run the back office themselves. Truckstop TMS helps them manage loads, drivers, equipment, documents and invoices more easily, so they can get back on the road making money. TMS Free comes with a Load Board subscription for up to 10 active loads at a time. Upgrade to TMS Basic for help calculating the data carriers need for International Fuel Tax Agreement filings, a QuickBooks Online integration and custom logos on invoices.
“Brokers and carriers are feeling tight margins from different sides of the same load. The rate, the onboarding, the invoice: every handoff takes time neither side has,” said Elyse Nagler, Chief Revenue Officer at Truckstop. “These updates help the tools on both sides work together, so every handoff takes less effort.”
Rate estimates are based on available lane and market data and are intended as a planning tool, not a guarantee of final pricing. Shipper intelligence is AI-assisted. Review it before you rely on it. Survey data comes from the H1 2026 Freight Broker survey and Q3 2026 Carrier survey, conducted by Bloomberg Intelligence and Truckstop.
