IMC Logistics said McKendry will lead all aspects of its Toronto launch, including building capacity, establishing customer partnerships and hiring. The drayage operation is set to open in Q2 this year.
The Tennessee-based company said McKendry steps into a role amid Canada’s shifting trade landscape. As Canadian shippers seek diversified sourcing strategies and as container volumes grow, IMC’s drayage expertise will aid its new market growth, according to the release.
IMC said its Toronto facility will serve both its cross-border and domestic Canadian marine drayage customers. McKendry’s knowledge of Canadian freight and logistics positions IMC “to deliver capacity and real-time container visibility from day one.”
