Dive Insight:
Strategic acquisitions have been key to TFI International recently. In recent years, the transportation conglomerate has purchased flatbed giant Daseke, which included Bulldog Hiway Express and Lone Star Transportation, along with other carriers, such as CMW Express, to bolster its truckload business.
Acquisitions like the recent one demonstrate how to merge businesses. Eric Anson, president of TA Dedicated, said his company’s customer focus and employee-centered culture align with Triangle Warehouse.
“For decades, Triangle Warehouse has built a singular reputation in one of the Midwest’s largest metropolitan markets through reliability, service and long-term customer relationships,” Anson said in the release. “By bringing their capabilities and expertise into the TA Dedicated family, our customers gain access to top-tier supply chain solutions beyond transportation.”
TA Dedicated said combining with Triangle supports its diversification strategy by expanding its warehousing capacity by 900,000 square feet and bolstering its distribution and cold storage services. The additional resources enable shippers to manage complex supply chains with a single partner, according to the release.
It will be business as usual for Triangle customers, TA Dedicated said. The company’s “customers’ service and team support will continue uninterrupted and benefit from the strength of TA Dedicated’s nationwide network, engineering expertise and leading-edge technology platform.”
