The American Transportation Research Institute announced Page Siplon will be its next president and COO, according to an Oct. 15 press release.

Siplon most recently has been CEO of TeamOne Logistics. He will join ATRI in November and will take over for long-time President Rebeca Brewster, who is retiring in February.
Siplon’s appointment follows a national search for Brewster’s successor. Brenda Neville, president and CEO of the Iowa Motor Truck Association, who led the ATRI search committee, said Siplon’s combination of executive leadership and track record of building public-private relations will benefit the organization.
“We are excited to welcome Page to ATRI and believe his experience, collaborative approach, and leadership will help the organization build on its strong foundation and continue delivering meaningful value to the trucking industry,” Neville said in the release.
Brewster said Siplon’s leadership will aid in carrying ATRI’s research mission forward especially as the trucking industry faces increasingly complex decisions.
“In the years ahead, credible independent research will be essential to helping our industry navigate change, improve safety and make informed decisions,” she said.
Before joining TeamOne, Siplon spent more than a decade leading logistics and innovation initiatives for the state of Georgia, ATRI said. As executive director of the Georgia Center of Innovation for Logistics, Siplon collaborated with industry and government leaders to advance freight transportation initiatives and strengthen Georgia’s logistics competitiveness.
Siplon also led Georgia’s broader Centers of Innovation program, where he managed six statewide strategic industry sectors, the press release said. Siplon was also vice chairman of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Advisory Committee on Supply Chain Competitiveness, where he led national discussions on transportation, logistics and supply chain policy.
Siplon said that trucking is the common denominator in the economy and the country cannot function without it. He commended Brewster for her work with the organization and seeks to build on ATRI’s accomplishments.
“ATRI has earned a level of respect and trust throughout our industry that is truly special, and looking ahead, I see tremendous opportunity to build on that foundation, broaden our reach, and find new ways to put our research to work for the trucking industry and the economy that relies on it,” he said.
