Dumitrache “Dumi” Martinez has taken on the role of enterprise-wide CFO at JK Moving Services, a newly created position spanning multiple JK businesses.
The senior finance executive joined the Sterling, Virginia-based residential and commercial moving services provider in June, according to a news release last week.

As CFO, he’ll administer financial operations for all of JK’s divisions and businesses, covering nearly 1,200 employees in the Washington, D.C. region.
Martinez has over 27 years of experience in financial positions, with experience at Procter & Gamble, Danone, Essity/SCA, Kind and Mars, Inc., the release noted.
JK Moving Services CEO Chuck Kuhn noted that experience will benefit the company's expanding enterprise.
At Mars, Martinez’s most recent position, he served as CFO for its global services business unit and CFO positions for the Kind snack brand before and after its acquisition by Mars, according to his LinkedIn profile.
“Dumi has outstanding leadership skills that JK needs as we continue to grow, mature, and diversify our brands and products,” Kuhn said in the announcement. Kuhn started the business in the 1982 at the age of 16.
The business has grown throughout the years and has been recognized by the American Trucking Associations' Moving and Storage Conference as a leader in the industry.
Martinez said in a LinkedIn post that he looks forward to “partnering across the organization to support the next phase of growth.”
