Anderson Trucking Service named Mike Omann VP of enterprise sales, the St. Cloud, Minnesota-based carrier announced Oct. 8. His appointment was effective Sept. 29.
Omann rejoins ATS after spending nearly four years in executive sales roles with Uber Freight, according to his LinkedIn profile. He previously spent over 14 years with ATS, most recently serving as director of new business development.
Omann takes over the fomer role of Jeff Potthoff, who was recently promoted to SVP of enterprise sales, a company spokesperson said in an email to Trucking Dive. The expanded enterprise sales leadership team will help the company meet customers’ broader strategic logistics needs.
The carrier’s latest C-suite moves follow its appointment of Tracy Koenig as chief information officer, who will take over for CIO Julius Chepey who is retiring in December.
Potthoff said Omann’s broad industry perspective and knowledge of ATS will help him make an immediate impact.
As senior sales director at Uber Freight, Omann worked with several of the company’s largest enterprise customers, the press release said. That gives him additional perspective on the transportation marketplace, technology, capacity and complex enterprise solutions.
Omann said ATS’ employees and culture prompted his return.
“Our teams have built tremendous trust with customers,” Omann said in the release. “It’s about understanding each customer’s business and bringing the right solutions together to help solve their toughest transportation and supply chain challenges,” he added.
